Cleanroom

Cleanroom chairs need to be smooth, without unnecessary crevices for dust to gather. Generally they also need to be impermeable to water, and bacteria resistant.

As we all know, hazards posed by different micro-organisms can vary greatly. The Physical Containment (PC) level describes the design of the laboratory or facility used when working with microorganisms – a level relative to the risk group of the microorganism . All work done in a laboratory or facility of a specific PC level, should follow prescribed procedures for that level (refer to Australian Standard S2243.3 Safety in Laboratories – Microbiological Safety and Containment.)

Industry chairs offer a range of seating that are PC1 and PC2 compliant.
